The carpets in your commercial space set the tone and vibe for both customers and staff alike! Employees like working in a clean environment, and customers subconsciously take note of their environment when they visit your space. For high-traffic commercial environments, we recommend cleaning the carpets at least twice a year. For lower-traffic spaces, once a year should suffice. What considerations you should take into account when booking a carpet cleaner?
The main one is water access. Know where your building’s hose-bib is so that we can connect to it. If necessary, we can bring a hose inside the space and connect to a bathroom or staff room sink, but our general preference is to connect outside.
Other than that, the only step you should take once the appointment is booked is to let your team know when we’ll be coming to clean the carpets so they can tidy up their workspace, lifting anything off the floor in their offices or cubicles. Things like garbage/recycling bins, under-desk foot pads, mats, or heating devices, as well as any sundry items would all be placed on their desk or out of the way so that we can have easy access to as much carpet as possible.
For commercial spaces, we always like to set expectations as well. Places like restaurants and mechanic shops are generally quite greasy, for example, and getting all that grease out of the carpets will likely take several cleaning sessions to ameliorate. Many commercial spaces haven’t replaced the carpets since the building was built, so if your space is like this, keep in mind that a carpet may not come up brand new after thirty years of use, but at least it will be clean, fresh, and sanitized.
